Who we Are

A private, non-profit corporation, TEAM provides financial assistance and supportive services to over 3,500 families residing in the towns of Ansonia, Derby, Seymour, Shelton, Oxford, Beacon Falls, Milford, Orange, Bethany and Woodbridge each year. Services are categorized under several program headings: early education, elderly services, home heating assistance, housing assistance, economic literacy and asset building, and community and neighborhood services. TEAM is the focal contact place in the Valley Region for families seeking social aid and connections to public and private assistance.

TEAM, Inc. is one of twelve Community Action Agencies in Connecticut and one of about 900 nationwide. TEAM is governed by a volunteer tri-partite Board of Directors comprised of elected officials or their representatives, representatives of businesses and community organizations, and clients or representatives of client groups.

TEAM is an active member of the Valley Council of Health and Human Services a cooperative venture linking more than 40 non-profit Health & Human Service providers throughout the Valley, whose mission is to identify, plan, implement, and coordinate a comprehensive human service delivery system and to advocate for community-wide and culturally diverse planning approaches in the larger Valley. One of TEAM’s programs – Meals-on-Wheels – is a United Way beneficiary.
